About The Kingdom of Serenity

The Kingdom of Serenity was inspired for my personal love of astrology— specifically the moon and the twinkling stars that both illuminate our night sky. I wanted this town to be based in an eternal darkness where daylight never reaches this kingdom. Whilst working on this town I started to write lore and develop a story for this kingdom onto why the sun never rises in Serenity. Everything that is in Serenity is all part of its story and lore including its consistent dark celestial theme.

Serenity’s Human Residents

About Queen Eclipse

Eclipse is the queen of the kingdom of Serenity. She reigned with her late husband, Orion however he had passed away not too long ago after succumbing to an illness. The two of them have a beautiful daughter together called Estella who resides at the southern part of the kingdom. Eclipse is said to have inherited powers from her ancestors who were direct goddesses and gods of the moon. Her name is a reference to a part of the moon’s cycle. She has a giant moon in her throne room to reference her ancestors and her powers. Personality wise, she is incredibly pure and warm hearted. Her hobbies include writing and reading books in her royal study. She also enjoys drinking coffee at the kingdom’s local coffee shop and engaging with her local residents.

About Princess Estella

Estella is the princess of Serenity and is the daughter of Queen Eclipse and her late husband, Orion. After her father passed away from his illness, she moved into his castle estate nearby to the kingdom’s southern waterfall. She is currently in an intense overwhelming state of grief and hasn’t appeared publicly since. It is unknown if she has relinquished her title and inheritance to the royal throne.

About King Orion

Orion was the king of Serenity and was reigning with his wife, queen Eclipse. He has a daughter with Eclipse called Estella who is the princess of Serenity. Orion was super hardworking when it came to his title of the king of Serenity and did his absolute best for the residents of the kingdom. He enjoyed playing sports, engaging with his local community, hosting lavish parties and feasts alongside attending the royal concert hall to hear the live orchestra play beautiful music on the weekends. He resided at The White Castle at the southern part of the kingdom with his wife before she became queen when Estella was born. About a year ago he contracted a very serious illness which caused him to not be able to attend to his royal duties where he became bedridden. He had recently succumbed to his illness which has left the whole kingdom and most importantly— his family shaken with grief and solitude. His grave is located to the northern part of the kingdom. His family believe he is an angel looking down and protecting the kingdom from the heavens above.
